Why images need converting for Cricut
When you upload a JPG or PNG into Design Space, it becomes a single-layer print-then-cut image, or you have to erase the background by hand. An SVG from Vexorio arrives already split into one layer per color with a transparent background, ready to cut from vinyl, HTV or cardstock.
Recommended settings
- Pick Logo or Black & white mode.
- Keep colors low (2–6) so every layer is a real piece of material.
- Turn on Transparent background.
- Turn off “Seal gaps between colors” for a precise, overlap-free cut.
- Raise Remove specks so you don't have to weed tiny pieces.

Does it work with Cricut Design Space?
Yes. Upload the SVG as a cut image. Each color becomes its own layer you can assign to a different material.
Can I use it for iron-on (HTV)?
Yes. Just remember to mirror the design in Design Space before cutting HTV.
Silhouette Studio Basic can’t open SVG. What now?
Silhouette Basic edition only opens DXF, which is also included. Designer edition and above open SVG directly.
